Hi guys! I was looking at my Goodreads read books list the other day and when I saw some of my all time favorite series I noticed that most of them aren't really popular. So, I figured I could share them with you so you can enjoy them as much as I did and get the recognition they deserve. Sounds good?
I picked my top 4 trilogies or series so I don't bore you.
The Tomorrow series by John Marsden
When I was about 15 or 16 I saw this movie called Tomorrow When the War Began and I have been obsessed with it ever since. It's about a group of teenagers who come back from a camping trip and find that their town has been invaded and their families are hostages. So these kids have to suddenly mature and find a way to fight back. It's so good! I always felt this rush of adrenaline whenever I saw it and my adolescent self wanted to do something reckless like kick a garbage can or something. Eventually, after like the fifth time I saw it, I found out that it's based off a book; a series of books in fact. A tv show was also released last year based off of them, but I think there's only one season available. If I'm being honest, I haven't read all of them, but I have loved the ones I did read. I can't remember why I stopped, but I definitely will get back to them. I absolutely recommend them.
When Ellie and her friends return from a camping trip in the Australian bush, they find things hideously wrong — their families are gone. Across the Universe by Beth Revis
This is a trilogy set in space, obviously. I read these when I was, again, 15 o 16 (It was my best reading period) and loved them. It's about life in a spaceship that is on its way to an inhabitable planet. It kinda reminds me of the movie with J-Law and C-Pratt. Or the movie reminds me of these books. Everything seems to be fine until some mysteries come to light. I'm so not good at telling what books are about. They're sooo good. I promise. Plus, how pretty is that cover?
Seventeen-year-old Amy joins her parents as frozen cargo aboard the vast spaceship Godspeed and expects to awaken on a new planet, three hundred years in the future. Never could she have known that her frozen slumber would come to an end fifty years too soon and that she would be thrust into the brave new world of a spaceship that lives by its own rules.
Amy quickly realizes that her awakening was no mere computer malfunction. Someone—one of the few thousand inhabitants of the spaceship —tried to kill her. And if Amy doesn't do something soon, her parents will be next.

Monument 14 by Emmy Laybourne
Now these books are filled with intrigue, action and kickass children. I don't remember how or when I came across these books but I'm so glad I did. I'm not a fan of books whose main characters are kids (they tend to annoy me), but I learned to love these smart little devils. I always find it fascinating when teenagers have to step up and behave like adults, specially if they have to suddenly be in charge of a whole group of scared children. That's what happens here, after a toxic gas is released in the air. I still have to read the third book but I'm so pumped.
Your mother hollers that you're going to miss the bus. She can see it coming down the street. You don't stop and hug her and tell her you love her. You don't thank her for being a good, kind, patient mother. Of course not-you launch yourself down the stairs and make a run for the corner.
Only, if it's the last time you'll ever see your mother, you sort of start to wish you'd stopped and did those things. Maybe even missed the bus.

Shadow Falls series by C.C. Hunter
A lot of things can go wrong in a series filled with vampires, werewolves, witches, etc. However, this is one of the few paranormal series I have actually loved. I have previously talked about them in a post, but I can't remember which one. What I do remember, is saying how quickly I read them (devoured might have been the word I used to describe it.) Filled with potential love interests, funny best friends and a couple of enemies, you'll fall in love with every character, I promise.
One night Kylie Galen finds herself at the wrong party, with the wrong people, and it changes her life forever. Her mother ships her off to Shadow Falls—a camp for troubled teens, and within hours of arriving, it becomes painfully clear that her fellow campers aren’t just “troubled.” Here at Shadow Falls, vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches and fairies train side by side—learning to harness their powers, control their magic and live in the normal world.
Kylie’s never felt normal, but surely she doesn’t belong here with a bunch of paranormal freaks either. Or does she? They insist Kylie is one of them, and that she was brought here for a reason. As if life wasn’t complicated enough, enter Derek and Lucas. Derek’s a half-fae who’s determined to be her boyfriend, and Lucas is a smokin’ hot werewolf with whom Kylie shares a secret past. Both Derek and Lucas couldn’t be more different, but they both have a powerful hold on her heart.
Even though Kylie feels deeply uncertain about everything, one thing is becoming painfully clear—Shadow Falls is exactly where she belongs…
I really hope you give these books a chance, they are worth it.
